To mom, with love

Here’s to all the mothers out there and beyond.

To all the new mothers who are constantly worried if they are doing things right.
To all the wise mothers who have taken care of us and shared us their wisdom, and yet have doubts within them, if they have done it right, or if they should have done things in a different way.

To all the mothers who are sick and/or old, who handled everything alone, with a lot of inner strength. Who might have hoped to never have to depend on others, but age or sickness is making their fear come true.

To all the precious mothers who have gone away before us, and continue to look upon us, sending us their love from up above.

To all the single mothers, and mothers who have had to take care of their children alone.

To all the fathers, siblings, grandparents, family members or others who have taken care of the children and their upbringing, in the absence of their mother.

To all the loving mothers who have adopted children as their own.
To all the mothers who have gone through the pain of losing their children.

Thank you for all the times that you have been with us, sharing our joys and pains. We may not have told you how much you mean to us, but we are grateful that you have been with us in your words, deeds and in love.

Thank you for your love, guidance, for all the sacrifices that you have made. For all the times that you have showered us with your care and blessings.
Your countless sacrifices, difficulties, dreams, doubts, guilts, hopes, prayers, wishes might have gone unnoticed. You might have been lonely and scared and in need of help or guidance many times. Thank you for being strong for us. For telling us, showing us, that we are your strength and that seeing us healthy, well fed, happy makes your day and keeps you going.

We are sorry for all the times we have hurt you in any way and taken you for granted. Misunderstood you, or outright been difficult. Thank you for your patience, forgiveness and your love.
And when it is hard to handle everything, or to be patient or to keep going, please do not be hard on yourself. With all the responsibilities that you may have had to juggle through, even if we may have overlooked you, you are still human. Please take good care of yourself, you are irreplaceable.

Let us live up to the mother’s love. Let us be their strength, especially when they need us. For it is true that a mother’s blessing can be with us in ways that we can ever imagine.
