AMP stands for Art Meets Prose, and we opted the name to define what goes into these pages, as well as how this amps us up in the process.
What you see here- is a site that started as an idea, to bring in all that was created by us, into one common place. All the creative pieces – sketches, paintings, craft, even the small collection of lines, that were conjured to stir the mundane pace of our days.
The Artist:
Vernon, a talented artist who finds solace and joy in the realm of painting, is the one with the most professional experience in art, when compared to the others working on this site.
Each meticulously crafted piece takes an average of 10-20 hours of reflection and careful application of his artistic vision.
With a deep admiration for the wonders of nature and a profound appreciation for the beauty of animals, his patient dedication brings these creations to life, infusing each stroke with emotion and purpose.
Vernon’s artistic journey encompasses a range of mediums, including oil paints, watercolour, and charcoal. With a deft touch and a keen eye for detail, he skillfully navigates through these mediums to convey the essence of the subjects. Through the timeless allure of oil paints, he captures the vibrant hues and textures that breathe life into his artwork. Watercolours are chosen to evoke a sense of serenity and an emotional response. And when depth and contrast is desired, charcoal is his tool of choice, allowing him to create captivating compositions.

The Author :
There was a time when I didn’t need an excuse to write. Just a blank page or a new pen was all that was needed to get me writing. But recently, I see that my works have been reduced to a bare minimum (read- grocery lists).
So, I welcome this idea, where the art of my fellow creators, works as a ‘topic finder’ for me to write something about. This will do my grey cells good and I hope to come up with some neat stuff and not just ramblings/rants. And I am happy to still feel the excitement that comes when an idea or plot pops in my mind and it gets to work on the many ways that words can be used to create a form for it.
The Planner:
The person who had a dream for a site where we could post the various bits of art that we had created and were proud of, and needed a medium for others to view and enjoy what we had enjoyed putting our time in.
She put life into the dream and pushed us into getting the site running. All the tiny behind-the-scenes details that go unnoticed but without which this site wouldn’t be what it is now, is where our planner comes in. Apart from this, she herself is a talented artist and will be posting her love for crafts too.
